Sight seeing in France and Germany?

hey, so i want to take a trip to france ans germany next march and was wondering if anyone had ideas of places to see. i for sure want to see narmandy beaches where U.S. troops landed in WWII and the eiffle tower in france and then i want to head over to germany. What are some “must see places” in France, and Germany especially? thanks
